"I got a cheaper price..?"

We have found over the past few years that when it comes to DJs, you get what you pay for. You can usually tell who offers the cheapest DJ services, when their website is a bit rough or tacky which generally means they don't put any effort into their image and business, never mind the quality of their service. When they use Hotmail or Gmail addresses and mobile only numbers and then when you have to wait 24hours for a response. This is because they are either working or in bed.

If you are wondering why you got a cheaper DJ quote, this is usually down to two factors:

Professionalism: From the quality of the equipment right through to turning up on the night: the equipment including the lighting will be cheap, second hand sound system that will give very poor sound reproduction, the lighting will be poor quality too and may be on its last legs and what happens if he or she gets sick? or doesn't bother to turn up?

2. Experience: this is a major factor for individuals who offer cheap DJ services, they will usually only do a gig every month or so or will have no regular experience and are offering you the cheapest price just so they can get a gig!

The equipment including sound & Lighting some DJs use can be sourced through ebay and the buy and sell, most is second hand, cheap and on it's last legs with poor sound reproduction. There is a lot of low grade and cheap equipment out there that makes it way onto peoples dancefloors, none of this equipment is reliable and can produce inferior sound and poor lighting or can fail at any moment. Inexperienced DJs or those who never play gigs on a weekly basis will often will use this equipment, because anyone that is a full-time DJ will know to stay well clear of it.
